Learning from Dad – Tamarock Masonry
Bailey Byrne’s construction experience began as a youngster helping his father’s business, Tamarock Masonry. Established in 1976, Tamarock Masonry specialized in custom concrete and masonry.
Bailey was able to learn from one of the best day in and day out–his father. From cleaning up job sites to working full time on masonry projects under the watchful eye and mentorship of one of Big Island’s best masons, Bailey learned how to do things right the first time. He also learned that there are few shortcuts to quality—do it right the first time.
During his time at Tamarock Masonry–over 16 years–the company won numerous accolades, including “Best Construction Company”, “Best General Contractor” and “Best Masonry Company” in West Hawaii as voted by the readers of West Hawaii Today.
Those early lessons have shaped a work ethic and professionalism that have served him well as he went off on his own to found Tamarack Construction.

Bailey has always had dreams of making his own impact on the construction industry, bringing innovations to the West Hawaii construction market. Founded in 2020 Tamarack Construction brings Bailey’s 20 years of formal experience (and many years of helping dad as a kid before that) to construction projects in Hawaii.
New Directions for Tamarock Construction
The mainstays of Tamarock Construction include polished concrete, stamped concrete, foundation, Hawaiian rock walls,, and concrete restoration.
Bailey is excited to now offer the market epoxy services, which can make some incredible effects on concrete. He and his team have undergone special training to become the leaders in quality and professional epoxy jobs in Hawaii.
